On Friending/Defriending Friending Me: go ahead! No need to ask. I'm always glad to have more fannish people to talk to. :-) Defriending Me: again, go ahead! No need to ask, or feel guilty, or worried. Most people use their friends-lists as reading lists, and when fannish interests diverge and/or we haven't talked for a while, it's only natural to defriend. No hard feelings--every day is Defriending Amnesty Day in my LJ. My friends list is primarily a reading list. Please don't be offended if I don't friend you back straight away. I hate defriending people, and I try my best to read every post on my friends-page, so I usually take some time reading people's journals and lurking before I friend them. If I take you off my reading list it's not for any personal reason--most likely it's because we're no longer in the same fandoms.
